Caregiver Support Group – Olney

Join Winter Growth’s Social Worker and fellow family caregivers for a supportive group offering emotional encouragement, practical caregiving strategies, and valuable education. A virtual link will be provided for those unable to attend in-person.

This month, Robin Henoch, with Always Best Care, will discuss the new GUIDE Program. The Medicare GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) Program is a nationwide initiative by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide comprehensive support for Medicare beneficiaries with dementia and their caregivers through coordinated services, caregiver education, and respite care, aiming to improve quality of life and delay nursing home placement by offering services like care navigation, 24/7 support, and caregiver training at no extra cost for participants.
